Welcome to the Richard Allan 304th Auction.

Please note that this auction closes on a Wednesday and not the usual Friday.

The last auction was another bumper one showing that key material is popular and keenly contested. After most auctions, we do get asked by quite a few bidders as to why they missed out on items they were desperate for. We quote starting prices instead of estimates and the market is very healthy so whilst many items may sell at the starting price, the more popular and the more difficult items have more keen bidders.

In this catalogue, there are some countries, not always so popular, so you will notice that we have actually lowered the starting price level to attract more interest. This auction again contains much interesting material, starting off with a few bumper collections so enjoy.

Whilst we enjoy sending the catalogues free of charge, it is at this time of year that we have to review our ever growing mailing list, as the costs of producing the catalogues continue to grow, so only if we have not heard from you for a while, a bid form sent into us will help us to continue sending catalogues.

*MAIL YOUR BIDS EARLY–the first bid received of equal bids will be successful.

Our system works simply – as follows:
Example 1: On a lot estimated at £50, 2 bids are received: Mr.A bids £60 and Mr.B bids £90 clearly anxious to buy, Mr. B will succeed, but HE WILL ONLY PAY £65 i.e. one step above the second highest bid.
Example 2: Mr. C bids £150 on a lot estimated at £50 and no other
bids above estimate are received. The lot will sell to him for £50.

WE DO NOT MANUFACTURE SPURIOUS UNDERBIDS.
NB - THE PRICES ARE THE RESERVE AND STARTING PRICE
BIDS BELOW CANNOT BE ACCEPTED

We will stop buying for you once your limit is reached. This systems helps to avoid disappointment by increasing your chance of buying something.

Overseas is normally by AIRMAIL (depending on size and value). All postage and insurance charges are charged at cost and a small charge may be added to cover packing costs.
